A MOVING MEETING, IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE

A very unusual meeting took place at Saxon Hall on Friday, September 18th when Rochford Hundred Lodge held their first regular meeting at Saxon Hall.

It was a strange affair, with only five members in attendance to transact the business of the Lodge in unfamiliar surroundings. The meeting had to be held at Saxon Hall because the Rochford Masonic Hall was not Covid-ready.

A minute's silence was observed in memory of the RW Provincial Grand Master, Rodney Lister Bass, OBE.

A dispensation was read out because of the change of venue and date of the meeting.

With a quorum present, the normal business of the Lodge was able to be conducted, and both W.Bros George Young and Graham Wiffen were made Honorary Members of the Lodge.

The members present all expressed a wish that normal meetings could resume at Christmas, but they had their doubts with the present Covid situation.
