Open Days will be a central part of Essex Freemasonry’s growth strategy, providing the public with a warm and transparent introduction to our Order. Centrally coordinated by the Provincial Membership Officer, W. Bro. Daniel Broyd, these events will ensure consistency, professionalism, and a clear presentation of Freemasonry’s values across all Masonic centres.

Their success depends on collaboration. Communications will drive promotion to reach a wide audience, while Membership and Mentoring teams will ensure visitors feel welcomed and leave with a clear understanding of the Masonic journey. Involving servicemen, veterans, and their families will strengthen our ties with the Armed Forces, offering authentic conversations and connections.

Open Days are not one-off events, but part of a long-term initiative. With sustained Provincial guidance, they will become a regular feature of our calendar, strengthening relationships with local communities, enhancing our public image, and generating interest among men who share our values.

What we will do

  • Centrally coordinate Open Days to ensure consistency across the Province.
  • Promote events widely through Communications to attract diverse audiences.
  • Provide training and guidance so every Lodge can welcome visitors effectively.
  • Build links with the Armed Forces community through participation in these events.

Success will mean

  • The public gains a clearer understanding of Freemasonry’s values and community role.
  • Lodges welcome a steady flow of potential candidates.
  • Stronger ties with local communities and the Armed Forces.
  • Essex Freemasonry seen as open, transparent, and welcoming.
