Effective communication is at the heart of an engaged and united Province. Essex Freemasonry’s Communications Team works hard to provide timely updates, news, and information about events across our Lodges and Chapters. With most messages now delivered digitally, it is vital that members take simple steps, such as whitelisting Provincial email addresses, to ensure they never miss important announcements.

Communication, however, is not one-way. Members and Lodges are encouraged to share their own news, achievements, and upcoming events with the Communications Team so they can be promoted across the Province. Centre Communication Officers (CCOs) play a key role in this, supporting Lodges with advice, promotion, and capturing stories. Tools such as the Cube Story Wizard make it easier than ever to create and share content.

Our communications also extend beyond the membership. Through the Provincial website, Cube, and a growing range of social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and YouTube, we are strengthening engagement with prospective members and the wider public. Podcasts, videos, and online campaigns showcase the positive impact Freemasonry has in Essex, ensuring our story is told with clarity and pride.

What we will do

  • Deliver timely, accessible updates across all digital platforms.
  • Support and promote Lodge news through CCOs and the Communications Team.
  • Encourage every member to use the Cube and follow Provincial social channels.
  • Develop new ways of engaging with both members and the wider public online.

Success will mean

  • Members receive clear, consistent updates and feel connected to the Province.
  • Lodges see their successes shared and celebrated more widely.
  • Greater engagement with prospective members and local communities.
  • Essex Freemasonry recognised publicly as open, active, and relevant.
