Many Essex Freemasons have fond childhood memories of being taken to London to see The Lord Mayor's Show. The 800-year-old plus tradition and family event with all its pomp and ceremony is free to watch along the route which starts at the Guildhall at 11 am and finishes at The Royal Courts of Justice on Fleet Street where the Lord Mayor William Russell will take the oath of allegiance.

The procession is three miles long with military marching bands, 60 spectacular floats and over 120 horses. It is one of the oldest and longest in the world. Every year is different whilst encapsulating the diverse cultures of the City.  There are festival zones along the route with live entertainment, funfair rides, food stalls and exhibitions

Take the family and have a great day out. See the Freemasons with the London Fire Brigade. Two ‘Super Hi-Lift’ turntable 64 metre long reach aerial vehicles have been funded by the London Freemasons after raising £2.5 million for the London Fire Brigade, all part of the £51 million donated to deserving causes in 2020 by Freemasons of the United Grand Lodge of England.
