The Provincial Grand Master (PGM), Paul Tarrant, has appointed Russell Keetch as Provincial Grand Mentor with immediate effect. He will be responsible for building a new team to promote learning and development across the Province and will work closely with the Provincial Grand Membership Officer, Ray Quiddington, to develop the Members’ Pathway scheme.

Russell takes over from Pierre Waddoups, who continues in his other role as Provincial Historian and in helping promote and grow the Essex Masonic Museum. Pierre will be responsible for ensuring and preserving our Craft Heritage, generated across the county for nearly 250 years.

Paul Tarrant said “I want to thank Pierre for all his hard work as Provincial Grand Mentor, He held the office during a difficult period when we were shut down due to Covid while continuing to look after the history of the Province in his role as an historian.”

“In recent weeks Russell Keetch has worked as a Deputy Provincial Grand Mentor and I am delighted that he has now agreed to step up into this important role. A key part of the Members Pathway wheel is ‘engagement’ and this is the area that Russell and his team will be addressing – helping the Brethren with learning and development.”

The PGM will invest Russell at the next meeting of Essex Masters Lodge on September 29th at Saxon Hall.
