When three-year-old Albert fell badly and suffered a serious cut to his head last month, he had to go to A&E, where he was given one of Essex Freemasonry’s Teddy Bears.

He had to have surgery on the injury and his mum, Kirsty, said he took the bear with him into theatre. When they came out, the bear had been given the same plaster dressing on his head as little Albert.

Kirsty said: “He has slept with the bear every night since, and even takes it with him when we go out for walks.

“We wanted to say thank you for the bear; it's a lovely thing to do and it really made a difference to his time in hospital.”
