Richard Clowes Lodge host the Provincial Teams Cluster meeting 2024

The second of the Provincial Teams Lodge Cluster meetings takes place including a rousing address from Johnson Beharry

Hosted by the Richard Clowes Lodge No. 2936, the second Provincial Teams Cluster meeting took place on Saturday, 14th December 2024 at the Harlow Masonic Hall.

In attendance was Paul Tarrant, Provincial Grand Master (PGM), accompanied by Assistant PGM, Clive Rees and Past APGM, Charles Elliott.

The meeting was supported by the Team Leaders of the now 6 Provincial teams, namely the Almoners, Charity Stewards, Mentor, Membership, Communications and Visiting Officers. As usual with cluster meetings, guests assisted by taking offices and tonight included Peter Low, Chris Hicks, Josh Vaughan, Ray Quiddington and Mike Barrett.

A full update from each of the Provincial Team leaders took place and following the closing of the meeting everyone was then treated to a very enjoyable and emotional presentation from the Worshipful Master (WM), Johnson Beharry VC., speaking about his life and Army career, which involved his tour in Iraq where he was awarded the Victoria Cross.

Following a hearty Festive Board the Lodge Treasurer, Gary Hostler presented a cheque for £350 to the Provincial Grand Master for the Essex 250 appeal, which was quickly transferred into the hands of the Provincial Grand Charity Steward, Chris Hicks.

The evening concluded with the regular Masonic toasts and addresses which included Alan Headworth giving just praise to the WM for his excellent presentation in the Lodge which was followed by a response from the visitors given by Josh Vaughan, of Sylvan Lodge No. 6381, providing a very passionate and equally emotional reply which was appreciated by everyone.
