Lodge of Faith celebrate their 75th Anniversary

Faith being the optimum word which has endured strongly through this Lodge’s 75 years

At the Brightlingsea Masonic Hall on Thursday, 23rd May 2024, the Lodge of Faith No. 6830, celebrated its 75th Anniversary.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Nicholas Franklin accompanied by the Lodge, Assistant Provincial Grand Master (APGM), Philip Lovelock together with the full Provincial escort team. APGM Clive Rees a Lodge of Faith member, was also in attendance.

Past Master, Tony Linton gave a brief history of the Lodge which was consecrated in June 1949 by the then Provincial Grand Master, Brigadier General Kincaid-Smith. Sadly, it also happened to be his last as he passed away a few weeks later.

Past Master, Adrian Deadman gave a description of the Lodge banner which they eventually obtained in 1986.

Subsequently, several other Past Masters delivered brief speeches about their experiences with the Lodge and how it has evolved over time.

Just under 50 members and guests gathered at the festive board where the Lodge’s traditional end-of-season menu was served amidst the nostalgic reminiscing of past days, former members, and kindred friendships.
